#44 Dissolving Self-Deceit: A Journey from Self-Criticism to Inner Radiance and Worthiness
In the quest for self-improvement, we often conflate self-confidence with self-worth, two concepts that, while intertwined, differ significantly in how they influence our lives. This conflation can lead to a tumultuous inner dialogue, where the external facades of confidence mask the true sentiments we harbor about our intrinsic value. The podcast episode "Dissolving Self-Deceit: A Journey from Self-Criticism to Inner Radiance and Worthiness" dives deep into this issue, encouraging listeners to peel away the layers of self-deceit and embrace their genuine self.

Self-confidence, as discussed in the episode, is an outward display of our abilities and strengths. It's the persona we present in social situations, during presentations, or when we're called upon to demonstrate our knowledge. Confidence can ebb and flow, influenced by our successes and failures, and while it's important, it's not the foundation of our self-perception. Self-worth, on the other hand, is an internal affair, deeply rooted in our beliefs about ourselves. It's the unconditional acceptance of who we are, irrespective of our achievements, failures, or the validation we receive from others.

Throughout the episode, the host, Lisa, provides listeners with practical advice on how to differentiate between these concepts and cultivate a sense of worthiness that isn't reliant on external factors. She shares personal anecdotes and encourages listeners to engage in exercises such as writing down negative self-talk and transforming it into positive affirmations. The power of such exercises lies in their ability to rewire our internal dialogue, shifting it from a place of self-judgment to one of self-celebration.

One of the most poignant moments in the podcast is when Lisa asks her audience to consider how they would never speak to a friend the way they often speak to themselves. This realization is a catalyst for change, pushing listeners to treat themselves with the same kindness and compassion they would extend to others. By fostering self-love and rejecting the harmful narratives we've internalized, we can begin to reclaim the inner light that has been dimmed by years of self-doubt and criticism.

The episode is not just a discussion; it's a call to action. Lisa implores her audience to take concrete steps towards self-care, whether that's through journaling, practicing self-affirmations, or simply taking time for personal enjoyment. These acts of self-care are not selfish; rather, they are essential to building a strong foundation of self-worth that allows individuals to shine brightly and become beacons for others.

In summary, "Dissolving Self-Deceit" is a transformative episode that encourages listeners to confront their deepest insecurities and transform their self-perception. It's a journey of unlearning the harmful messages we've internalized and rediscovering the worthiness that's been within us all along. The episode is a reminder that each of us is enough, just as we are, and that embracing our imperfections is not only an act of self-love but a step towards a more authentic and fulfilling life.

As the podcast comes to a close, Lisa leaves her audience with a message of hope and empowerment: to continue digging, discovering, and shining their bright, beautiful lights. This episode is a heartfelt invitation to all who struggle with self-worth to begin the work of self-acceptance and to let their inner radiance illuminate the world around them.

For years, I was lost, unbalanced and needing to find my purpose!

I have spent the last two years transforming myself; doing deep mindset work and forgiving my past.  I have been through several life changing times in my life, including, divorce, financial hardship, the loss of my mom (she was my best friend), and a life changing car accident.

Durning my marriage I found myself in a career I did not enjoy, at home I poured everything into being the best mom and best wife I could be, but I lost myself and I didn't know who I was... I was lost after my divorce.

Over the past couple of years I have really been pouring into me and working on finding myself and my purpose.  Doing a lot of heart work, mindset and finding balance in my life. I found a community that has helped me grow as a person and it has transformed my life.  How many times have you tried to create new habits, set goals and take action to find balance in 7 key areas of your life?  Now is the time to transform your life, find clarity, balance and a purposeful life?

I experienced a life changing car accident a year ago that gave me mortality motivation to help others.  When you sense that life is truly short, you focus your time here on earth and I truly have found my purpose and I truly believe God has directed me to pursue my passion to help others.
