Authentic Self

Reclaiming Your True Self

Reclaiming Your True Self

The journey to discovering our true selves is perhaps one of the most profound endeavors we can undertake. In our latest podcast episode, we delve into the concept of potency – not as a measure of power or influence, but as the authentic alignment between our inner essence and outer expression. This exploration couldn't be more timely in a world where external definitions constantly attempt to shape our identity, often leaving us disconnected from who we truly are at our core.

Many of us lose ourselves along life's journey – through parenthood, marriage, career changes, and the general demands of daily existence. We begin to define ourselves by roles, responsibilities, and others' expectations, forgetting that our true potency lies in being fully and authentically ourselves. This authenticity isn't about volume or hustle; it's about congruence. When our voice, style, energy, mannerisms, purpose, shadows, and gifts all align harmoniously, we create a presence that people feel before we even speak.

Consider a musician with an instrument where one string is out of tune – the entire performance feels off, discordant. This is precisely what happens when we live out of alignment with our true selves. Our lives begin to sound and feel dissonant, lacking the resonance that comes from complete congruence. True potency emerges when every aspect of ourselves – including our shadows and quirks – works together to create our unique sound in the world.

Why do so many of us hide our potency? We shrink our voices to be more palatable, conceal our quirks because of past shame, ignore our shadows instead of integrating them, and play small to prevent others from feeling uncomfortable with our energy. But our authentic potency isn't meant to be hidden – it's meant to be embodied. Your distinctive laugh, the way you gesture when speaking passionately, your emotional authenticity – these elements make you magnetic and are worth displaying more prominently in your life.

Perhaps one of the most significant barriers to embodying our true potency is unforgiveness. When we cling to resentment, shame, guilt, or anger, it creates static in our energy field and diminishes our authentic voice. The transformation that occurs through forgiveness is remarkable – like watching someone's inner light switch back on after years of dimness. Through forgiveness – both of others and ourselves – our potency gets unlocked. Our voice strengthens, our energy flows more freely, and we begin to radiate from the inside out.

The journey toward reclaiming your potency begins with simple yet profound questions: Who are you really, beneath the roles, labels, and expectations? What parts of you feel most alive when you're fully yourself? Are your words, actions, energy, and message aligned? Embracing the affirmation "I am potent because I am fully me" reminds us that every aspect of ourselves – light and shadow, gift and quirk – deserves expression.

For those held back by old hurts and stories that dim their light, remember that forgiveness isn't just a nice concept – it's a transformative practice that liberates your authentic energy. Layer by layer, as you release what no longer serves you, you step more fully into who you truly are. This journey isn't about becoming someone new; it's about uncovering the authentic self that has always been there, waiting to shine. Your quirks, your laugh, your shadows, and your light are all part of your unique magic – and the world needs your light in its full, potent glory.

Your Next Chapter Doesn't Write Itself

Your Next Chapter Doesn't Write Itself
In our fast-paced world where productivity and physical appearance often dominate conversations about wellness, we rarely stop to consider what true holistic fitness actually means. It's time to expand our understanding of what it means to be "fit" beyond just physical attributes and embrace a more comprehensive approach to personal wellbeing.

When we talk about emotional fitness, we're referring to resilience on demand—the ability to regulate our emotional responses rather than denying them. It's about learning how to navigate life's storms without spiraling into reactivity. As the saying goes, "You can't control every storm, but you can learn to breathe through the wind." This type of fitness requires identifying your emotional triggers and developing strategies to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. Remember, life isn't a rough draft; it's being written in real-time with every decision you make. Getting radically honest with yourself is the first step toward emotional fitness. Ask yourself what you're tolerating, what dreams you've buried under excuses, and what kind of person you want to become.

Faith fitness is another crucial dimension that's often overlooked. This isn't necessarily about religious doctrine but about spiritual alignment—whatever that means to you. It's about anchoring yourself in something greater, whether that's God, the universe, or your inner wisdom. Faith fitness gives you the courage to step into uncertainty, trusting that better things are coming even when you can't see the entire path. It's about surrendering what you can't control and believing that something greater is working behind the scenes, even during life's messiest and most uncertain chapters. This type of fitness means showing up for your spiritual life consistently, making it a priority rather than an afterthought. When your spiritual muscles are strong, you transition from constant striving to a place of trust, walking with greater peace, joy, and clarity.

The people surrounding us play a significant role in our overall wellbeing, which is why friend fitness deserves attention. Consider whether your friends add fuel to your fire or douse your flame. Healthy boundaries are essential here. If setting boundaries causes friction with certain friends, it might indicate relationships that don't serve your highest good. The quality of your inner circle dramatically impacts your energy and outlook—you don't need countless connections, just a few authentic relationships with people who celebrate your successes, support you through challenges, and remind you of your worth when you forget. Sometimes friend fitness requires letting go of expired friendships to make room for more aligned connections.

Similarly, family fitness involves showing up with intention and love rather than obligation or guilt. It's about being present rather than perfect. In our distraction-filled world, family fitness means putting down devices to make genuine eye contact, engaging in meaningful conversations, and choosing connection over chaos. It includes asking difficult questions, offering sincere apologies, giving affection, and establishing necessary boundaries. Whether your family is biological, chosen, or blended, family fitness creates a secure space where everyone can grow, heal, and dream together. These relationships form the roots that keep you grounded through life's inevitable changes.

Physical fitness remains important, of course, but it doesn't have to be intimidating or punishing. Movement should bring joy, not dread. Whether it's dancing in your kitchen, taking a leisurely walk, or stretching mindfully, find physical activities that make you feel alive and energized. Your body is your constant companion through life—not your enemy—so treat it with respect and kindness. The goal isn't perfection but consistent, enjoyable movement that honors your unique body and circumstances.

Internal fitness focuses on what you consume—both nutritionally and mentally. Ask yourself whether what you're ingesting will nourish you or just numb you. This isn't about strict diets but about awareness and making choices that support your energy, focus, and overall wellbeing. It's about fueling your body like the powerful vessel it is, choosing foods that love you back by supporting your mood, hormones, and gut health. Again, perfection isn't the goal, but awareness and gradual improvement are.

Finally, mindset fitness might be the most transformative of all. Your thoughts quite literally become your reality, so strengthening your mental framework is essential. This goes beyond mere positive thinking to developing true mental resilience. Notice your self-talk—if you wouldn't speak that way to a friend, why speak that way to yourself? Practice mental strength training through journaling, prayer, affirmations, or meditation. Consistently lift thoughts of gratitude, focus, and compassion rather than doubt and fear. Your brain forms patter

You Don't Need to Become Ready - You Decide You Are

You Don't Need to Become Ready - You Decide You Are
Unleashing Your Inner Radiance: Why You're Already Ready

Have you ever found yourself waiting for that perfect moment when you'll finally feel "ready" to pursue your dreams? That elusive state of complete preparation and confidence that seems to hover just beyond reach? If so, you're certainly not alone. This universal hesitation holds so many of us back from embracing our full potential and stepping into our power.

The truth is powerfully simple yet profoundly transformative: you don't need to become ready. You decide you are ready, and the becoming happens naturally along the journey. This mindset shift represents a fundamental change in how we approach growth and transformation. Rather than viewing readiness as a prerequisite for action, we can recognize it as something that develops through action itself. When we shift our perspective this way, we remove one of the biggest barriers to pursuing what truly matters to us.

Science backs this approach more strongly than you might think. According to research published in the Journal of Psychological Science, people who act with confidence, even before they genuinely feel it, activate neural pathways that generate resilience, motivation, and perseverance. This fascinating finding confirms what many successful individuals have intuitively understood – you take action first, and the confidence follows as a natural consequence of that forward movement. Your brain literally rewires itself through the act of doing, not through waiting until you feel completely prepared.

The perfectionist tendency to wait for ideal circumstances or to become the "perfect version" of ourselves before taking action is perhaps the most significant obstacle to growth. Perfectionism disguises itself as high standards, but in reality, it functions as a protective mechanism against potential failure or judgment. When we embrace imperfection and understand that messy action is better than perfect inaction, we free ourselves from this self-imposed limitation. Your dreams aren't random thoughts that float through your mind without purpose – they represent authentic callings that deserve to be answered.

Practical steps can help implement this mindset shift in your daily life. First, speak your intentions into existence through powerful affirmations like: "Today I choose to show up as the woman who already has what she desires. My energy leads the way." Second, commit to taking tiny brave actions daily – small steps that feel slightly uncomfortable but move you in the direction of your dreams. Third, harness the power of visualization by connecting with your future self who has already achieved what you're working toward. Olympic athletes regularly use this technique because neurologically, visualization activates many of the same brain regions as actually performing the activity.

Remember that you're not here to play small or dim your light to fit into spaces you've outgrown. You are here to blaze trails, inspire others, and live a life overflowing with purpose that touches everything around you. The world truly is waiting for your unique light and contribution. Stop questioning if you're ready and start deciding that you are – because the becoming happens in the doing, not in the waiting.

Writing a chapter in "Unstoppable 4: The Powerhouse Edition" marked a turning point, helping her confront long-standing issues with self-confidence. Her participation in a women's empowerment conference further reinforced the idea that confidence is not about the outcome but about the courage to take risks and trust in oneself.

Throughout the episode, Lisa offers practical advice for boosting self-worth and confidence. She encourages listeners to affirm their value daily, a practice that involves looking in the mirror and acknowledging one's worth and potential. This simple yet powerful exercise can have a profound impact on how we perceive ourselves and our capabilities. How to Cultivate True Happiness: Transform Your Mindset for a Vibrant and Fulfilling Life

How to Cultivate True Happiness: Transform Your Mindset for a Vibrant and Fulfilling Life
Have you ever pondered whether true happiness is within your grasp, or felt a deep yearning for a more fulfilling life? In our latest podcast episode, "Cultivating True Happiness: Transform Your Mindset for a Vibrant and Fulfilling Life," we delve into the essence of happiness and how to uniquely cultivate it according to your journey. This episode is an invitation to explore the transformative power of mindset, find balance amidst chaos, and take those first meaningful steps toward your dreams.

True happiness is not a one-size-fits-all concept. It is a unique journey for each individual. One of the central themes we explore is the multifaceted nature of happiness. Is happiness found in the big milestones like career success and financial security, or is it in the small moments like a quiet cup of coffee in the morning or the sound of your dog’s paws? Perhaps, it's something deeper like a sense of peace and fulfillment. We unravel these questions and more, aiming to guide you toward a life that feels genuinely vibrant and alive.

**Transforming Your Mindset**

The power of mindset cannot be overstated when it comes to achieving happiness. How do you view happiness? Is it something you chase, or something you create from within? Shifting your perspective can transform your reality. We discuss the importance of perspective and introduce impactful affirmations to encourage a mindset that fosters happiness. One of the powerful affirmations we share is, "I am worthy of a life that makes me feel fulfilled, vibrant, and truly alive."

Moreover, we highlight the concept of "snacking on happy," a practice from Laura St John’s six-week course, which emphasizes finding moments of joy in everyday life. By consistently seeking out these small moments of happiness, you can create a positive shift in your overall mindset.

**Finding Balance Amidst Chaos**

In our fast-paced lives, finding balance is crucial yet challenging. Are you juggling too much, leaving no room for joy? Balance is about creating a sweet spot in your life where you can manage responsibilities without sacrificing your happiness. We discuss strategies for achieving this balance, such as setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and making time for activities that bring you joy.

Balance is not just about managing time but also about emotional equilibrium. It’s about being present in the moment and not letting the chaos of life overwhelm you. We provide practical tips to help you find that balance, so you can lead a more harmonious and fulfilling life.

**Taking Meaningful Action**

Mindset and balance are important, but without action, they remain mere concepts. What steps can you take today to move closer to a life that truly makes you happy? We encourage you to start with small, meaningful actions that align with your true self. Whether it's pursuing a new hobby, making time for loved ones, or setting goals for personal growth, these actions can lead to significant transformations in your life.

We also discuss the importance of being courageous and taking those first steps toward your dreams. Living life to the fullest doesn’t mean you have to be fearless or have it all figured out. It’s about being brave enough to embrace the messiness of growth and the vulnerability of truly being seen.

**Reflecting on Your Journey**

Reflection is a powerful tool for personal growth. We provide thought-provoking journal prompts to guide your introspection. One of the prompts we share is, "When I think about living my life to the fullest, what emotions come up for me? What fears or beliefs might be holding me back from fully embracing my potential?" These prompts are designed to help you uncover deeper insights into your aspirations and obstacles.

Journaling allows you to process your thoughts and emotions, providing clarity and direction. By regularly reflecting on your journey, you can stay aligned with your goals and make informed decisions that enhance your happiness and fulfillment.

**Embracing Your True Potential**

Finally, we emphasize the importance of embracing your true potential. Each of us has unique talents, passions, and dreams. By acknowledging and pursuing these, we can lead lives that are vibrant and fulfilling. We encourage you to let go of what no longer serves you and step boldly into your fullest potential, knowing that you are supported every step of the way.

In conclusion, true happiness and fulfillment are within your reach. By transforming your mindset, finding balance, and taking meaningful action, you can create a life that feels genuinely vibrant and alive. This episode is an invitation to pause, reflect, and embrace the courage needed for transformation. Your happiness and fulfillment are invaluable, and they deserve your attention and effort.
